Acceptance and eligibility

By using Surroundings, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use the service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

Research tool, not an appraisal

Surroundings provides property reach, population, income-capacity, housing-market, and related location information for preliminary research. Results may include modeled, estimated, synthetic, incomplete, or third-party data. They are not appraisals, valuations, surveys, legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for professional due diligence. You are responsible for independently verifying information before making a purchase, development, lending, investment, or other decision.

Account-free access and browser-saved reports

The current analysis tools do not require an account or paid subscription. Reports are saved in your browser on your device, not in a cloud account. Browser storage is not a backup and can be cleared or become unavailable. Keep a separate copy of reports you need. Contact support about records or billing from the former account-based service.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the service unlawfully, deceptively, or to violate another person's rights.
• Attempt to bypass access controls, usage limits, or security measures.
• Disrupt the service, introduce malicious code, or probe systems without authorization.
• Use automated access that materially burdens the service or violates provider terms.
• Resell, copy, or reverse engineer substantial portions of the service except where law permits.

Ownership and third-party services

Surroundings and its licensors retain rights in the software, design, branding, and compiled service. You retain rights in information you submit and grant us permission to process it to operate and improve the service. Maps, datasets, advertisements, and linked services may be governed by their providers' terms and availability.

Availability and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict access when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or violations of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time and clear its saved reports from your browser.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, Surroundings will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or decisions made in reliance on service output.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Applicable law governs these terms without overriding rights that cannot legally be waived. Questions may be sent to cturnercoding@gmail.com.
